Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to inform you that the 7th International Conference on Biomedical and Environmental Sciences & Technologies (icBEST-2018) in conjunction with the 9th international symposium on DNA Damage Response & Human Disease (isDDRHD-2018), will be held during November 1-4, 2018 in Shenzhen, China.

The icBEST is a biennial conference series in China focusing on DNA repair and their implications in biomedical and environmental research. Over the past 10 years, icBEST has earned the reputation as one of the strongest and most respected research conferences in China. The isDDRHD series with a similar theme but focusing on DNA damage response was initiated as the Sino-German DNA Repair meeting in 2010 and evolved into an annual international symposium since 2012.  The main theme of the icBEST/isDDRHD meeting in 2018 will be DNA Repair and Cancer. The Nobel Laureate Dr. Paul Modrich will deliver a keynote lecture at this meeting. Other confirmed speakers include Drs. Junjie Chen, Marco Foiani, Xin Lu, Yosef Shiloh, Steve West and Wei Yang.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to participate in the icBEST/isDDRHD-2018 in Shenzhen. At the same time, we would like to invite you to register for and submit an abstract to icBEST/isDDRHD-2018 (Shenzhen). Please be informed that up to 3 submitted abstracts will be selected for short oral presentations, and up to 5 poster awards (US$200 each) will be identified during the meeting. More importantly, all these awards will be selected exclusively by the science quality of your abstract/presentation. We are confident that your participation will strengthen the discussion, promote basic and clinical research, and benefit the cure of the DNA repair elated diseases.

China has recently dramatically increased its scientific contribution to a global landscape of biomedical research, including studies in the DNA damage response, neurobiology and cancer biology. Additionally, Shenzhen listed the bio industry as the key cultivation industry since 2009 that have attracted more and more bio investments and scientists. We are sure that you will have a memorable experience.

We are looking forward to see you at the symposium.
