Cuandixia Ancient Village, Tianjin, 1 Day

Day 1: Beijing ---Tianjin ---Beijing (L)

In morning, pick you up from China National Convention Center as assembly point, and then drive about 90km to Ancient Village Cuandixia. It is one of Chinas well preserved ancient villages with the history of over 500 years. The village is known for its 70 conserved traditional courtyard buildings from the Ming Dynasty. The village’s buildings were damaged during the Japanese occupation and during the Cultural Revolution, and remain in this damaged state, frozen in time. These houses are constructed on the side of a hill, surrounded by mountains and forests.
This area is great for hiking, offering a range of walks suitable for families as well we experience as well as very experienced walks. To see these old houses, you have to climb the steep stairs and lanes paved with rocks which are simple and unadorned. The village is listed as a village under national level cultural relic’s protection. It is an ideal place to take pictures. Almost each family at the village now keeps their houses to take and welcome tourists.

After a short rest and fresh up, let's take a two-hour circular walk. First take the steps up into the village, opposite the stone wall. You may enter the houses of the locals. People are very friendly. Then get to a local restaurant to have a simple farm lunch. After lunch, take a walk around some part of the beautiful mountains.

At the end of your today’s tour, transferred back to China National Convention Center in Beijing.

Service ends.
